The Confusing Personality Of Gandhi. I Don’t Want To Be Him, But I Want To Be A Bhartiya!

2nd October, 1869, Shri Mohandas Gandhi was born in Divan Shri Karamchand Gandhi’s house. Fortunately or unfortunately, my Mother Smt. Vanmala Sainwar was born on the same day, i.e. 2nd Oct 1947. Since childhood, I have learned a lot about Bapu, read a lot about him by both Indian and foreign authors, and watched several movies. It is really difficult to understand his personality in terms of a human being. His childhood, his youth life, his 21 years in South Africa, his arrival in India in 1915 at the age of 46 by the invitation of Shri Gopalkrishan Gokhale, considered as a Guru for Gandhi. Then his role till 15th August 1947 i.e. upto transfer of power from British to India.

His experiments like SATYAGRAH, Non Violent Movement, DANDI SATYAGRAH, PURN SWARAJYA were really influencing all Indians that time and today also he is an influencing leader for many. It even influences me a lot in all my social activities. He is an immortal leader not only for India but also for the entire world. I salute our father of the nation and feel proud to be born in the nation of said leader. I have always tried to practice his said teachings throughout my life. I feel thankful to him for the kind of gift he has given to our nation.

But when I read about his desire towards sex. His non understandable experiment with BRAHMACHARITWA. His role or neutral view for partition. His appeal to youth to join army during First World War. His non presence commitment in politics but at the same time in active politics. Visiting Round table meetings but nothing concluded. Non-cooperationto heroes like Bhagat Singh. Not able to control internal leaders and split during critical time of nation. It is out of my imagination, out of my thought, out of my expectation, out of my belief that how come my leader, father of the nation, creature of our independence, had this side of life too.

But yes, not all human being are good in all respect or bad in all respect. There is always some positivity in each human being and at the same time some kind of negativity. Nobody is perfect in this world. We are all born with our good and bad side.

It is always preferable to ignore negativity and accept positive things and work for betterment of the society.

Yes I don’t want to be a complete Gandhi but I definitely want to be a patriotic Bhartiya to serve my motherland, and at the same time serve my family too.

Best wishes to citizens of my motherland on this day of GANDHI JAYANTI and I hope to see positive thoughts and teachings in each citizen, in each individual and in each coming generation to see our motherland as a developed country.

Jai Hind. Jai Jawan. Jai Kisan.
