10 Politicians Who (Hopefully) Killed Their Careers In 2014

December 30, 2014 by

It won’t be wrong to say that 2014 was a huge year for Indian politics. There was so much going on everywhere. People like Narendra Modi shot their way to glory while others like Rahul Gandhi had to bite the dust.

In the midst of all this, we also came across politicians who tried to dig their own coffin.

These famous politicians, whom I am about to name, have done some horrendous things over the past year. For most of them it meant a near end to their political career while few others are still trying to fight it out. I think it’s a blessing in disguise that these politicians make such horrible mistakes, at least it gives us a clear cut idea of who they truly are. Here is a list of 10 such politicians who have tried to outshine each other in terms of dumbness and stupidity.

10 Prahlad Gunjal – Prahlad Gunjal, a BJP MLA from Kota threatened Dr RN Yadav, district CMHO, that he will have to face dire consequences if he doesn’t issue transfer orders for his party member. BJP took action after the incident and suspended him from the party. Thank God, he is kicked out and it will be better if people like these stay forever out of politics.

9 Chitranjan Swaroop – State Urban Development Minister from Muzaffarnagar constituency, Chitranjan Swaroop, was caught on camera shamelessly dancing with some girls on a wedding reception. Other Samajwadi party members were also seen shaking a leg with the dancers, considering how people have still not emerged from the deadly riots, this has come across as an act of shame for the party. Let’s hope, we are done with the dance for a while now.

8 Shajia IImi and Satish Upadhyay – Narendra Modi launched Swachh Bharat Abhiyan to clean the existing garbage on the streets, not to spill garbage and then pretend cleaning it. This is what these leaders were up to, in Delhi a few days back. Their publicity stunt backfired big time when their workers were caught emptying dustbins on the streets which these leaders later went on to clean. I hope they have some shame left inside them and if not, you can expect a publicity stunt like this anytime soon.

7 Azam Khan – Minister of Samajwadi Party, Azam Khan recently spent tonnes of money on celebrating party leader Mulayam Singh’s birthday. He celebrated Mulayam’s birthday in his hometown, Rampur and when questioned, where this money came from, he sarcastically answered that it came from Taliban and Dawood. He was thrashed by the opposition party and the media after giving such a statement. Probably now he will realize how dumb he actually is.

6 Sonia Gandhi – Saying that 2014 was a tragic year for Congress, won’t be completely wrong. They got thrashed in almost every department by BJP, no one was spared, not even Sonia Gandhi. She emerged as a huge failure this year, and seeing the way things have turned out for her, a comeback is very much unlikely.

5 Giriraj Singh – Promoting your party is a good thing but saying that those who don’t vote for my party should be expelled to Pakistan, is a statement only a very wise man can make. This is what Giriraj Singh did at the recent elections where he went ahead to say that either vote Narendra Modi or else go to Pakistan. I just don’t know what people with such a cheap mentality are doing in Indian politics.

4 Arvind Kejriwal – What started as a huge fire in the beginning of the year ended on a very low note in the half way mark of the year. First he said, all parties are corrupt, then went on to collaborate with one of them to come into power, then finally when he had the control in his hand, he left. I really don’t know what to say about such a person, the fact that he has immense talent and potential is very much clear to everyone, but the question which lies here is, is it useful? It will be very interesting to see whether he makes a comeback or not.

3 Mamata Banerjee – Mamata Banerjee has been accused of taking unjustified action against student participating in the Hok Kolorob Movement. She took a brutal action against students who were peacefully protesting which resulted in the death of few students and many others getting injured. If the Chief Minister itself cannot understand the problems how can we expect anyone else to do something about it. She came under some severe bashing after the incident. Probably from now onwards she will take some rational decisions.

2 Digvijay Singh – Digvijay Singh has always been known for his senseless statements and this didn’t change much in 2014 as well. He continued to make absurd remarks on women, opposition leaders, various groups and God knows what else. He has no control on his tongue at all. You can always expect all sorts of random crap from his mouth, unless he decides to quit, which I hope many of you will also be hoping for.

1 Rahul Gandhi – After Arnab Goswami’s interview, Rahul Gandhi is being looked upon as the biggest joke in our country. He made a complete fool of himself on national television, presenting himself as one of the dumbest leaders of Congress ever. It will really take some courage to set things straight now. Even if he fails to make a comeback I don’t think people will mind that, rather they will be relieved I guess.
