Rare footage of Gandhi’s first Television Interview on 30 April 1931: Inspirational would be the perfect word to describe it !

January 21, 2015 by

Gandhi as the world knows was a man of his values. And even though he committed his own share of mistakes like any other man does, some of which were pointed out in an article by our editor on Gandhi last week; he still continues to be an inspiration for millions of people all around the world.

The rare video below is of his first television interview on 30 April 1931 by Fox Movietone News. Notice how Gandhi answers in short to the point the questions of the interviewer without publicizing himself or giving out any political tantrums, much different than what we witness from our leaders these days.

Do go through this rare footage, and make sure that you leave your views about this magnificent personality and this inspirational video in the comments. We would love to hear them!
