Being the only daughter, I wanted to do something different than what my mom did, but did I?

January 25, 2015 by

My mom was a house wife. She wanted me to do something different than what she did.

I went to a convent school… something different than what my mom did!

I studied hard to get into engineering. … something different than what my mom did!!

I studied harder to get the degree. .. again something different than what my mom did!

I worked and earned for myself. .and my mom was happy to see me doing something different than what she did!

I fell in love and married a person who loved me… my mom hated me for this.. but yes even this was something different than what my mom did!

I continued working while I was pregnant. .. my mom was proud of me as I was doing everything different than what she did!

And then…

Here’s what I do now…

On weekdays… I cook!

On weekends…. I cook something special!

On working days… I cook!

On holidays. .. I cook something even more special!

Exactly the same way my mom did!!

I am a house wife now. I want my daughter to do something different. She is 6 years old now. She goes to a convent school!!
