This Is How Easily Frauds Are Using Your Bank Accounts For Shopping. And No One Is Stopping Them!

October 28, 2015 by

Hello my dear readers! After a long time, I am writing to you all.

Have you come across the news of bank executives calling in your personal numbers and asking for reactivating your bank account just by providing them some confidential information like your bank account number, its validation, card no, etc. and all the information you need to purchase anything.

Last year, when the whole country was busy celebrating Navaratri, some people were busy collecting money for their Dhanteras shopping. They did so by starting a scam for collecting money by fooling the innocent ones.

One of my friends received a call where the caller presented him as one of the executives of the bank in which he has an account. That executive firstly introduced himself and said that as the holder doesn’t use his account much, they just want to check whether the holder is interested in keeping the account or not.

If yes, then the account holder must provide some information in order to continue his account. Nowadays, as many agents call in on a regular basis, he started providing his account number, his card number, address, phone number, also his pin number and later when the agent asked for the OTP number he had a doubt so he randomly told a number. The executive said it’s a wrong one and asked him to provide him his birth date, the holder provided the Information to them but again a wrong one.

Again they asked “No Sir, it’s incorrect”. Then the account holder started abusing him as how can it be correct when he himself is providing wrong information to them. The fake executive from other side asked him to stop abusing him, as that was getting recorded the same way the call center people say when callers speak badly with them when a caller’s complaint is not looked after in a customer care. As soon as the customer told that he will complain to the police, the executive disconnected the call. Later whenever he called that fake executive, he didn’t respond to the call.

Is there anyone who has received such a call and is relaxing back on his/her couch thinking that he/she is saved from the danger?

No guys, your work is not done, complain against the number and raise your voice against these fraud people sitting at the end of the other side of your phone. They call and fool people and access their account and withdraw money leaving them into the big question of “how did this happen?” The answer is we citizens who keep shut after being saved from a danger and be selfish by not thinking about others. The fake bank executives think that no one is there to stop them, so if they call 20 people a day and cannot fool 5 people then they may withdraw a large sum of amount from the rest 15, whereas they know those rest 5 people will not take any action. Make your relatives, your friends and your parents aware of this fact so that this scam comes to an end as soon as possible and innocent people are saved from this danger.
